The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael D. Hodges, 41, of Ormand Terrace, and charged him with aggravated assault after he allegedly stabbed a co-worker during a dispute, according to a sheriff’s report.
Deputies responded to the incident Saturday afternoon at Any Credit Auto Sell, where another deputy already was on the scene handling a theft call.
The report said the victim, Billy Nutt, was bleeding from his right hand. Nutt told deputies that when he was talking with Hodges, Hodges got upset and pulled a knife. As the two men argued, Hodges allegedly pointed the knife at Nutt’s throat and later cut him on the hand, the report said.
Hodges told deputies that he cut Nutt during the incident, because Nutt had accused him of being involved with the thefts, the report said. Hodges denied pointing the knife at Nutt’s throat.
Deputies arrested Hodges and took him to the Bibb County jail.
