The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men on charges related to a metal theft Monday morning, according to a Wednesday news release.
Investigators arrested two men as they attempted to sell stolen AT&T phone cables to a local recycling company, the release said. The cables allegedly were stolen from telephone poles in west Bibb County. Investigators recovered 200 feet of cable which weighed 225 pounds.
Deputies arrested Richard Lee Postell, 20, on charges of felony theft by taking and damage to property; and Jeremy Daniel Selph, 21, on a charge of felony theft by receiving. Both men are in the Bibb County jail.
