Gray Highway reopened at about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday after a series of mishaps that began more than 12 hours earlier.
At about 11 p.m. Monday, a utility pole fell near Hall Street along the busy highway where two accidents had blocked traffic that afternoon, 911 dispatchers said.
Georgia Power crews repaired the damage and power was restored early Tuesday.
At about 2:45 p.m., a tractor trailer collided with a school bus which sent 18 students and two adults to the hospital.
About two hours later, a tow truck hit a utility pole which closed four lanes and caused traffic to back up all the way to Interstate 16 during the evening rush hour.
