Macon police said four lanes of traffic on Gray Highway were blocked after a tow truck struck a pole just before 5 p.m.
The wreck caused power lines to fall in the road. Georgia Power planned to turn off the power near Hall Street and Gray Highway while repairing the damage..
E-911 dispatchers said there were injuries at the scene, but they didn’t know any details.
Police are advising drivers to find alternate routes before the intersections of Second Street and Gray Highway heading north and before intersecting Hall Street heading south.
