Don Faulk, the Medical Center of Central Georgia’s chief executive, will be retiring later this year.
Faulk sent an e-mail to the Medical Center’s 5,000 employees Thursday morning announcing his plans. The e-mail did not set an official day for his departure.
The e-mail said in part:
“I want to make you aware this morning after months of personal and professional reflection I announced to the Boards and to the CGHS/MCCG family my decision to retire later this year. No specific date has been set yet but we will work toward a smooth transition.
Never miss a local story.
“We have worked closely together for quite some time. I appreciate the great relationships we have shared as we have tried to improve the health of those we serve throughout this region. I am very confident those efforts will continue in a positive fashion as our CGHS/MCCG management team is extremely capable and committed.”
