Thursday’s going to get pretty windy in Central Georgia, and then things will get chilly.
The National Weather Service is warning that strong winds should start Thursday morning and last until midnight. The wind advisory begins at 10 a.m. Winds are expected to come from the west from 15 mph to 25 mph, but may gust up to 35 mph, the agency warned Wednesday.
“Strong and gusty winds are expected Thursday as low pressure moves over the Great Lakes and drags another cold front through the state,” according to an advisory. “A tight pressure gradient across the area will promote gusty conditions into the overnight hours.”
The agency forecast a low of about 40 degrees for Wednesday night, a high near 64 for Thursday, and a low around 29 Thursday night. Friday’s high is expected to be about 49 degrees.
