A Douglas man accused of rape was arrested in Macon Tuesday.
Tyrone Bernard Green, 36, was wanted by the Douglas Police Department for an alleged “violent” rape, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and battery on a Douglas woman from a Jan. 1 incident, according to U.S. Marshals.
Information gathered by Douglas detectives and the marshals’ Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force led task force members to find Green hiding with a female friend at a home on Macon’s Plant Street, according to the marshals.
Green was taken to the Bibb County jail to await transport back to Coffee County, according to a news release.
