Macon police arrested three people on Bob-o-link Drive on Saturday night on various charges after the city’s STRIKE team found them participating in celebratory gunfire in front of a house, according to a police news release.
The STRIKE team officers heard shots from the south Macon house while on patrol and found several males and females standing around a carport. When they saw the officers, they turned and ran.
The officers entered the house and found 13 firearms, including shotguns, an assault pistol, a revolver and semi-automatic pistols. Several of the weapons were stolen.
Those arrested were Anderson Hodges, 31, of Bob-o-link Drive, charged with theft by receiving stolen property; Eric Watkins Jr., 25, of Fairfax Drive, charged with giving a false name; and Johntellis Montez Mathis, 24, of Lynmore Avenue, charged with shooting in the city and theft by receiving stolen property.
Hodges and Watkins were later released on bond, while Mathis is still in the Bibb County jail.
