WARNER ROBINS -- Houston Healthcare announced Tuesday that a hospital executive from Atlanta will serve as the new vice president and chief financial officer.
Sean Whilden, currently system controller and chief financial officer for DeKalb Medical at Hillandale, will start here in early January, according to a Houston Healthcare release.
“We are pleased to have Sean as the newest member of our executive team and welcome him and his family to Houston County,” Houston Healthcare Chief Executive Officer Cary Martin said in the release. “We are confident his skills and knowledge base will be an asset to our organization.”
Whilden holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and a master’s in business administration from Samford University in Birmingham. He is a certified public accountant with nearly 20 years experience in health care accounting and finance.
He is filling the position vacated in September when Frank Powell resigned.
