Bibb County grand jurors indicted a 61-year-old Macon man Tuesday in the Oct. 1, 2010 death of a pedestrian struck by a car at the intersection of Hall and Bowman streets in Macon.
Ulysses Mack is charged with homicide by vehicle in the death of 49-year-old James Gainey of Myrtle Street, according to an indictment filed in Bibb County Superior Court Tuesday.
Gainey died Oct. 4 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia of multiple trauma injuries.
Mack also is accused of driving under the influence. A test of Mack’s blood alcohol level was taken within three hours after Gainey was struck by a car. His blood alcohol level was 0.08 grams or more, according to the indictment.
