WARNER ROBINS -- Authorities have arrested a Warner Robins man believed to be responsible for four home invasions in which elderly victims were robbed.
Kirk Jaburee Solomon, 30, was captured Thursday morning after he was chased by Warner Robins police and Houston County sheriff’s deputies through a Warner Robins neighborhood, police said.
He is accused of breaking into the home of a 76-year-old woman at 133 Holly St. in Warner Robins, robbing her at gunpoint and stealing her car about 10:15 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities caught up with him after a be-on-the-lookout bulletin was sent out over the police radio for the woman’s gold four-door Lincoln Town Car. He ditched the car and fled on foot, police said.
The joint investigation by the Warner Robins Police Department and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office led to Solomon being connected to previous robberies of elderly residents, said Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for Warner Robins police.
Solomon also is accused of attempting to break into a home at 632 American Blvd. in Warner Robins about an hour before the Holly Street home invasion, Pugh said.
Solomon was formally charged in connection with two robberies and Thursday’s attempted break-in, with charges pending in two more incidents, Pugh said.
Here are the charges per incident:
Armed robbery, burglary, theft by taking motor vehicle and kidnapping in an Aug. 8 home invasion at 408 Lake Placid Drive, Bonaire, in which a 68-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint. Her car was stolen and recovered the same day in Warner Robins.
Theft by taking motor vehicle, armed robbery, burglary, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime in the Holly Street home invasion Thursday.
Criminal attempt to commit armed robbery in the attempted break-in Thursday at 632 American Blvd. .
Additional charges against Solomon are pending, Pugh said, for an Aug. 2 home invasion at 700 Green St., Warner Robins, in which a 91-year-old resident was robbed and an Aug. 10 home invasion at 307 Bernard Drive, Warner Robins, in which an 83-year-old resident was robbed.
Solomon was in investigative custody late Thursday afternoon and was expected to be taken to the Houston County jail afterward, Pugh said.
