A man was sentenced to seven years in prison Monday in relation to the 2010 shooting death of a Warner Robins man.
Anthony James Bogan, 18, also was sentenced to 13 years probation after prison in the death of 20-year-old Dedrick Montford, a Houston County District Attorney’s Office news release stated.
Houston County Superior Court Judge Edward D. Lukemire sentenced Bogan after he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, the release stated.
Montford was found lying on the ground at Sewell Circle Park when Warner Robins police responded to shots fired at about 11:15 p.m. June 6, 2010, police said.
Montford, 20, was pronounced dead at The Medical Center of Central Georgia on Aug. 18, 2010, more than two months after suffering the chest wound. A dispute over a pistol led to the shooting, the release stated.
