Neither the woman killed nor a 15-year-old girl who was injured in a Wednesday night shooting in front of a North Atwood Drive apartment was involved in feuding between two groups of young men at the complex, according to Macon police.
Macon police held a news conference Monday to discuss details in the shooting death of 20-year-old Terrilyn Williams. The shooting left the 15-year-old girl with a bullet wound to her wrist.
Sgt. James MacDonald said between 75 and 100 people were at the apartment complex when officers arrived about 9:30 p.m.
Police said some of the bystanders offered them information and officers took statements from more than 20 people.

Officers questioned 19-year-old Joelissa Mariqua Johnson and she was arrested. Also arrested were 17-year-olds Brianna Dominique Curry and Dasjwan Tranard Foster. The three are charged with felony murder in Williams’ death and aggravated assault, MacDonald said.
Police didn’t release any information about a motive and said more arrests are expected.
