The Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and Forsyth Better Hometown are hosting their second annual Taste of Monroe from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, 1000 Indian Springs Drive, Forsyth.
The event will feature Southern style cuisine from Monroe County restaurants, live music and a “best of” contest. The list of participating restaurants serving up samples are American Pizza, Ann’s Deli, Betty Mock Catering, El Tejado Mexican Restaurant, Georgia Public Safety Training Center, Grits Café, Ingles Supermarket, Jonah’s on Johnston, Leland’s, Midtown Smokers, Shane’s Pizza, The Club at River Forest, The Red Tomato, Warthen Hall 1921 Diner, Kool Beans Coffee, and Whistle Stop Café.
Ticket are $30 at the door. Each ticket is redeemable for 10 food coupons good at the vendor booths. Additional food coupons will be available for purchase during the event for $1 each.
