Two people have qualified for the district attorney’s post in Houston County.
Houston County Chief District Attorney George Hartwig, 51, a Republican, and Warner Robins attorney Rabb Wilkerson, 41, a Republican, both qualified Monday to run in the Nov. 2 special election.
The special election is being held to fill the vacancy left with the mid-term resignation March 15 of Kelly Burke, who returned to private practice.
Also, the governor may appoint someone to the post until the vacancy is filled by the special election.

In other Houston County races, Johnny R. Thomas, 39, qualified to run for Post 6 of the Houston County Board of Education.
