Several changes are taking place at what was formerly The Villas at College Hill, a senior living residential community in historic downtown Macon.
The businesses new owner, Senior Management Advisors, has renamed the center at 684 Arlington Place Blair House Senior Living, according to a news release. As part of the main property, Blair House is a restored 19th century residence that now serves as home for active seniors.
Senior Management Advisors already has begun renovations, expected to be more than $500,000, to update the property and “give it a fresh look,” in the release.
A majority of the first stage of work will be completed by the end of June and more extensive structural renovations are expected to be finished by the end of the year. The renovations will add more common areas and amenities, including television lounges, an updated beauty salon, an ice cream shop and café, a country store, billiard room, arts and crafts room library and a private dining room, the release stated. Also a new wellness clinic will be added to Blair House, and resident rooms and administrative offices will be renovated.
“The renovated living environment and new levels of care offered at Blair House will enable residents to ‘age in place,’” Leslie Zoltowski, executive director of Blair House said in the release. “This will reduce stress on both the residents and their family members as we can adjust the care each resident requires as their needs change, eliminating the need for them to move to different facilities.”
Blair House Senior Living is a senior living and Alzheimer’s care residential community with 120 beds.
