WARNER ROBINS — Warner Robins police arrested a man early Tuesday morning after finding 21 pounds of marijuana and $1,700 in cash in his hotel room, according to a police news release.
The man, whose name is being withheld due to further investigation by the Warner Robins Police Department Narcotics Intelligence Unit, is charged with trafficking marijuana and is being held at the Houston County Jail without bond, according to the release.
At 2:04 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Best Western at 2739 Watson Blvd. in reference to a drunk man sleeping in front of the hotel.
Officers woke the man, who was too intoxicated to tell them his name, and helped him to his room at the hotel, the release stated.
While in the room, officers discovered several large bags of suspected marijuana on the floor and in the bathroom. The marijuana has an estimated value of $25,000, according to police.
EMS was called to the hotel room, and the man was transported to Houston Medical Center. He was released into police custody several hours later.
