A man and a woman robbed a Subway restaurant in east Macon Thursday night, according to police.
A Hispanic couple, both holding handguns, entered the Subway at 630 North Avenue about 9:50 p.m., said Macon police spokesman Lt. Eric Walker.
Employees left the restaurant when they saw the robbers, who took whatever cash they could find. The robbers then fled on foot, apparently toward Tidewater Circle. The woman was wearing a black hooded jacket but witnesses did not get a good look at what the man was wearing, Walker said. Not one was hurt in the robbery.
At about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday there was an armed robbery at the Subway restaurant at 3001 Vineville Ave. Police reported that the robber in that incident was black.
