Let the traditional run on milk and bread begin. There is snow in the forecast for Central Georgia.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement this morning predicting between one and two inches of snow south of a line from Atlanta to Athens.
A low pressure system developing in the Gulf of Mexico will bring precipitation into Georgia early Friday and into Friday night and right now indications look like it will be cold enough for a rain and snow mixture to turn over to all snow by Friday night.
Because the system is still developing, it could track farther north and bring even higher accumulations to north Georgia.
