A 69-year-old Macon man indicted Tuesday on a child molestation charge may have had other inappropriate relations with children, according to the Bibb County District Attorney’s Office.
Donald Findlay, of Arrowwood Drive, is accused of molesting an 8-year-old girl on numerous occasions between June 1, 2009, and Dec. 21, 2009, according to the indictment.
Prosecutor Nancy Scott Malcor said she’s been contacted by adults who have made similar allegations about Findlay stemming from their childhood.
“We believe there may be more victims,” Malcor said.
In 2006, Findlay was accused of fondling himself while talking with a 13-year-old girl at a bus stop, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office report.
The girl recognized Findlay from his time volunteering at Porter Elementary School selling ice cream, according to the report.
Malcor said Findlay wasn’t prosecuted for the 2006 incident.
He was arrested Dec. 28, 2009, in connection with the most recent allegation.
He was released on $5,700 bond Dec. 29, according to Bibb County jail records.
Anyone who believes they may be a victim is asked to call the District Attorney’s Office at 621-6427.
