WARNER ROBINS - Three Northside High School seniors signed letters of intent to play football and continue their educations at a ceremony held in the school's cafeteria today.
Framed by an impressive array of championship hardware earned by Northside football over the past four years, Greg Clark (Valdosta State), Devon Pike (Elizabeth City State) and Brison Williams (South Carolina) made their choices official.
Clark, a 6-4, 280-pound defensive end said he thought the Blazers offered "the best place for me to get some early playing time." He is planning to study sports management.
Pike, who was recently chosen by the Telegraph as the decade's top kicker in Middle Georgia, said the staff at Elizabeth City State was pleasantly surprised Pike hadn't been snatched up by a bigger school. He told them Sunday evening he was ready to join the Vikings.
Williams, a 6-foot, 185-pound safety, said the "work ethic" he learned while at Northside will help him with his goal to earn early playing time at the SEC school.
