PERRY – Warner Robins offensive coordinator Stacy Harden was approved as the athletics director/head football coach at Perry.
The Houston County Board of Education unanimously approved the hire at a called meeting Thursday.
Harden has served as the Demons’ offensive coordinator since 2004. He helped lead the Demons to a state championship in 2004. He previously served as an assistant at Warner Robins from 1991-1996.
Harden went with Robert Davis to Westside, where he coached from 1997-1999. He became the offensive coordinator at Troup in 2000, and he stayed through the 2003 season.
Harden is the second Demons’ assistant to land a head coaching job in two weeks following defensive coordinator David Bruce’s appointment at Veterans.
He is the third assistant coach in Houston County to land a head coaching job in the system. Kevin Kinsler was promoted from defensive coordinator to head coach at Northside.
