A man was fatally shot in front of his west Macon home Saturday. It was Macon’s second homicide of 2010.
Cornelius Baldwin, 41, was shot about 3:50 p.m. in front of 3085 Churchill St., according to Macon police Lt. Eric Walker. When police arrived at the scene, they found that Baldwin had wounds that indicated a bullet had traveled through his right arm and into his chest.
He was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he died during surgery.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Baldwin was pronounced dead at 5:25 p.m.
Walker said Baldwin “was shot after getting into a verbal altercation in front of his home” with “an unknown black male.”
