WARNER ROBINS — Rainy weather that delayed construction has caused Little League International to push back the date it will move into the new Southeastern Region Headquarters.
The group, which originally hoped to move in this month, now has a February target date, said Jen Colvin, Southeastern Region director.
“December was awful. We had over 7 inches of rain,” said Jay Flesher, owner of Hybrid Corp and the project’s manager.
Rain prevented crews from putting in the parking lot, which also is needed to put the finishing touches inside the building “because you don’t want to track the mud in,” Flesher said.
Never miss a local story.
Crews completed 95 percent of the concrete curbing Thursday, he said. Next up is installing the rock and asphalt for the parking lot and Snellgrove Drive, where the facility is located. Then, carpet in the main hallway can be installed.
As for the rest of the project, Flesher said, “the fields are doing great. We’re moving along with it. The stadium is progressing nicely. All the buildings are under construction now.”
