Information about the funeral of Warner Robins Mayor Donald S. Walker, planned for Friday:
The funeral for Walker will begin at approximately 2 p.m. at the Homer J. Walker Jr. Civic Center, immediately following a public viewing beginning at noon. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as seating inside the civic center is limited. After the funeral, a graveside service will be held at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
There are four designated parking areas for the funeral service — Warner Robins Municipal Complex, Macon State College and Nola Brantley Library, Robins Federal Credit Union, and the Wellston Center/Perkins Field Recreation area. No parking will be allowed on streets, sidewalks of rights of way, and improperly parked vehicles will be towed.
Watson Blvd., from Ga. 247 to Davis Drive, 1:45 to 4 p.m.
Watson Blvd., from Davis Drive to Pleasant Hill Road, 2:45 to 4 p.m.
S. Pleasant Hill Road, from Watson Blvd. to Jones Place, 2:45 to 5 p.m.
Demon Valley Drive at Peachtree Circle, 2:45 to 5 p.m.
City Hall will be closed all day Friday
Warner Robins Recreation Dept., and all recreational facilities adjacent to the municipal complex including Perkins Field, tennis courts and park, will be closed from noon to 5 p.m.
Warner Robins Area Chamber of Commerce will close at 12:30 p.m.
