The Houston County Board of Education announced the finalists for the Houston County High head football coach/athletics director position this morning, just eight hours before a public forum to meet the finalists is to be held.
Current Bears interim head football coach/athletic director George Collins, Perry offensive coordinator Chad Alligood, Rutland assistant coach Ben Maddox and former Dodge County head coach Greg Robinson are the four finalists for the job.
Each finalist will have the opportunity to address the audience for 15 minutes and will share their background, football coaching philosophy and vision for the Bears athletics department. Questions will not be taken during the forum but there will be a reception following the presentations so that the public can ask individual questions.
Collins took the job during the summer after Doug Johnson retired in June due to health problems. Collins led the Bears football team to a 1-9 record.
Never miss a local story.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the school theater. Houston County High is located at 920 Highway 96 in Warner Robins.
