Macon dollar store robbed

Macon police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Family Dollar store, 3407 Napier Ave., last Monday night, a report said.

The report said a man entered the store about 8 p.m. and purchased an item, then walked out. He returned a few minutes later and started to purchase a second item. When the clerk told the man he needed six more cents, he pulled out a pistol and told the clerk not to move.

The clerk told police the man reached into the cash register and took the money inside, then fled.
