Marshall to hold town hall meeting in Tifton

U.S. Rep. Jim Marshall, D-Ga., will hold another town hall meeting Saturday, this time in Tifton.

The meeting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon at the conference center on the University of Georgia’s Tifton campus, located at 15 RDC Road, according to Marshall’s office.

“Constituents will have a chance to speak with Congressman Marshall about the economy, health care, energy prices and protecting American jobs, ask questions and discuss these issues,” Marshall’s office said in a news release.

Marshall represents the 8th Congressional District, which includes most of Middle Georgia. He has said he’s against various health-care reform proposals put forward by the Democratic Party that are pending in Congress.
