Seven people have been charged with 113 poaching-related counts in Dodge and Laurens counties, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

After receiving complaints, an investigation was launched in March that led to DNR officers serving search warrants at the Rentz home of Michael Warren, 30, and a home and cabin owned by William Stacy Jones, 31, of Eastman, on May 18, according to a DNR news release.

Officers seized computers and animal parts from the homes, according to the release.

Arrested were: Jones, on 70 charges; Warren, on nine charges; 28-year-old Mary Michelle Warren, of Eastman, on 17 charges; 21-year-old Cody Coleman, of Marietta, on six charges; 29-year-old Durwood “Trey” Graham III, of Eastman, on four charges; 28-year-old Summer Page, of Rentz, on four charges; and 31-year-old Brandon Brisco, of Eastman, on three charges, according to the release.

The charges mostly involved deer and turkeys and ranged from hunting deer at night to possession of illegally taken wildlife, hunting out of season and taking an over the bag limit, according to the release.
