We are but fruit on the true and living vine, Christ Jesus. With the wine press as a most uncomfortable but necessary destination. Without the wine presses of life we could never express God’s mercy ruefully extended from the throne of grace to a fallen world. We are called, pressed and poured out so that the hurting may come and drink of the wine of Heaven, come to know his peace, love and joy and find in him the true fulfillment so desperately sought. So say with me today, “Here I am Lord, send me. Pour me out that a thirsty world may drink of you and experience your love and forgiveness you so generously give to all. Amen. 2 Corinthians 4:7-11.
