My beloved Jesus, Lord of light where no darkness can prevail. You give meaning to those words we so often use and miss the true message. “Joy to World” really means that we are all his children and to each of us he gives joy. In his eyes we are not different for he who made us in his own image. Jesus, when we say kind words like faith, hope and love, this is huge. For without you there would have been far different results. Our faith is in you. Our hope is for all to know you and the love that you give to us is unmatched and unending — even when we do not deserve it. Somehow, man gives it another message and at a high price. Cover and keep us safe from the ones who would cause us harm. Thank you, my Lord, for being near us and for leading us through the new year. Happy New Year to all of God’s children. Amen.
