Macon police found the bullet-riddled body of a 22-year-old Hispanic man Saturday morning in Allied Industrial Park.
An autopsy on the body of Ignacio Gabriel Armenta Contreras will be performed Tuesday at the GBI crime lab in Macon “to determine how many times he had been shot,” Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said.
“He was shot multiple times, and I mean multiple,” Jones said. “I don’t have a clue how many times he was shot.”
An officer patrolling the Mead Road area found the man’s body at about 4 a.m. The officer turned onto an “old road” leading to an antenna tower and spotted the man’s body in the roadway, police spokeswoman Sgt. Melanie Hoffman said in a news release.

Authorities have not determined a time of death.
“I don’t think he’d been out there that long,” said Jones.
Contreras lived at a Zebulon Road address, the coroner said.
Hoffman said police have issued a lookout for the victim’s car, a gold 1999 Dodge Stratus with Georgia tag number BYG 8223. Investigators ask that anyone with information about Contreras’ slaying contact Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at 1 (877) 68CRIME or the police at 751-7500.
