Free cherry trees for the taking; annual Christmas tree ‘chipper’ location changes

The Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission is giving away free Yoshino cherry trees and hardwoods during the Bring one for the Chipper event Jan. 7 at the old Central Services location behind the Burger King on Riverside Drive near Spring Street. KMBBC also is handing out free cherry trees Dec. 17, 2016, during Christmas on First Street at Rosa Parks Square across from the Macon-Bibb County Government Center, formerly known as City Hall.
