Beauty queen, baseball star tell how their dreams became a reality

United Way of Central Georgia announced its 2016 goal of $5.1 million — the highest ever — during its annual luncheon held at Mercer University in Macon. Guest speakers were Amanda Miliner, a former Miss Georgia and 2015 Georgia Teacher of the Year, and Brian Jordan, a former professional athlete for the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves.
