Perry appeared to be the big winner among Middle Georgia schools on National Signing Day. Three Panthers signed Football Bowl Series scholarships Wednesday morning, more than any other local school.

Cornerback Casey Hayward signed with Vanderbilt after a stellar prep career as a quarterback. Hayward did, however, nab all-state honors as a cornerback after intercepting four passes as a senior. He returned three for touchdowns.

Linebacker Kanorris Davis and defensive end Tony Davis -- no relation -- both signed with Troy University. Kanorris Davis was also an all-state selection.

"It's exciting because all three of us are great guys," Hayward said. "We hang out all the time so all of us are best friends. It's exciting to see these guys go off. They feel the same for me."
