A Twiggs County registered sex offender is missing after failing to show up at a Macon blood bank Friday.

James Edward Bryant, 46, was last seen at his Ridge Road home at about 9 a.m. Friday when he was walking to the Bio Mat on First Street in Macon across from City Hall, according to a news release from the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office.

Bryant is a white man about six feet tall who was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt over a white T-shirt with “rebel” written on the front, blue jeans and brown boots. He has brown eyes and brown hair and weighs about 160 pounds.

Bryant gives blood every Wednesday and Friday in downtown Macon, the release stated.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office at 945-3357.
