WR Christmas parade will honor Little League teams

The Warner Robins Area Chamber of Commerce will honor the Warner Robins American Little League softball and baseball teams during the annual Christmas parade.

The parade will be held 10 a.m. Dec. 5 on Watson Boulevard, proceeding east from North Houston Road to City Hall.

“We are proud to salute our community’s victories in Little League,” chamber chairman Rick Drury said in a news release. “These victories, combined with the selection of Warner Robins as the 2009 Little League Southeast Region Headquarters, provide the perfect backdrop for our 2009 parade.”

The World Series champion softball team will serve as the parade’s grand marshals on the first float, while the baseball team will be featured on another float in the parade.
