When the Little Leaguers from Warner Robins punctuated today's win 8-1 over New England with a game-ending double play, one of their fans cheered, "Here we go again!"

Indeed. The team that just keeps on winning, now 17-1 since forming as an all-star squad for the Warner Robins American Little League in mid June, is now a win away from playing for the U.S. championship.

Wednesday's win propels the Georgia squad into a U.S. semifinal showdown Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Warner Robins' opponent in the game, which will be televised by ESPN, will be determined later today after teams from the West and Midwest square off.

The game will be shown at the Museum of Aviation. The museum will open for the showing at 6:30 p.m.

After Wednesday's game, which was a continuation of a game suspended by rain Tuesday, winning Warner Robins pitcher Dalton Carriker said he was just glad to help his team advance.

Carriker surrenderred just four hits and struck out seven. He was 3-for-3 at the plate, blasting a three-run homer to left in the second inning.

"I was just glad I finally hit one out because I hadn't hit one in a while," he said. "It felt great just watching it go over. I couldn't even feel it off the bat I hit it so good off the sweet spot."
