SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Warner Robins American’s baseball all-stars have clinched the top seed in its pool and will play in Thursday’s U.S. semifinal round at the Little League World Series.

The 11- and 12-year-old Georgia boys will play the final game of pool play against the Northwest on Monday at 4 p.m., but regardless of the outcome, Robins will advance as the No. 1 seed due to tie-breaker edges on the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic teams.

Thursday’s game, an 8 p.m. contest on ESPN, will most likely be against the loser of Tuesday’s showdown of unbeatens in Pool B, Southwest and West, the 2-0 clubs from Texas and California.

Georgia, the Southeast representative at the tourney, beat the Midwest team from Iowa 11-3 and then topped the Mid-Atlantic boys from New York 6-3 on Saturday. They were off on Sunday.
