In this copy of a photo made by accident investigators in March 2007, the rear bumper of Jimmie Davis' 2000 Jeep Cherokee is shown where he was hit, causing the vehicle to roll over. Davis' wife, Lounelle, said weak roof construction that doesn't protect passengers if the vehicle rolls is why her husband died in the wreck. A New York bankruptcy court has said the new Chrysler corporation that the government has bailed out will not have to pay claims like those brought by Davis.
