Gainesville-Hall County Animal Control is urging residents to watch for abnormal animal behavior and to make sure their pets are vaccinated for rabies.
Animal control officers caught the raccoon Tuesday after it came into contact with a cat. Tests by the Georgia Public Health Lab in Decatur confirmed it had rabies.
