Bibb County sheriff’s deputies detained a man who tried to escape from another deputy while in custody at the State Court probation office Oct. 26, a report said.

The report said Brandon Morrall was arrested and charged with obstructing peace officers while in custody with an outstanding probation violation warrant. After he was handcuffed and being led to the elevator on the fifth floor, Morrall pushed the deputy into the elevator and ran down some nearby stairs, where he was caught on the second floor by several court security officers, the report said.

Morrall sustained an injury to the face. He told officers he didn’t want to go to jail.
