SWAT team officers from the Warner Robins Police Department were called in early Tuesday morning after a man was beaten with a baseball bat.

Police initially responded to a fight at 212 Grenada Terrace where Robert Lee Walker said he was beaten by 21-year-old Brandon Hall shortly before 2 a.m., said Tabitha Pugh, public information officer for the Warner Robins Police Department.

Investigators learned Hall might be at North Lake Apartments and went to arrest him.

After Hall threatened officers and refused to come out, SWAT team officers and a negotiator were called to the apartment, Pugh said.

The SWAT team forcibly opened the door and took Hall into custody at about 5:30 a.m., she said.
