Man wanted in armed robbery of Macon convenience store

Macon police are investigating a Friday morning armed robbery at a Mercer University Drive convenience store.

Just before 9:55 a.m., a man dressed in all black entered the BP convenience store located at 3737 Mercer University Drive. After displaying a handgun and demanding money, the man left the store with an undisclosed sum, according to a police news release.

He was last seen running east toward Bloomfield Road.

Police describe the robber as a black man with a dark complexion, 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds.
