WARNER ROBINS -- Crews on Friday morning will begin resurfacing Russell Parkway near Robins Air Force Base, likely setting up weekday and weekend traffic problems.

The work will be done between Ga. 247 and Moody Road, the city said in a statement. Motorists are being told to avoid the area while construction is underway.

The city said work will begin Friday and continue Saturday, then resume Monday morning until it’s finished.

It was not immediately clear at what times that work would be done.
