Special ops forces exercising out of Robins

Middle Georgia residents may see some low-flying military helicopters Wednesday night.

A joint military exercise is being conducted out of Robins Air Force Base between 8:30 p.m. and 4 a.m., according to a base release.

The Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment from Fort Campbell, Kentucky will practice with Air Force Special Operations Command from Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Periods of increase noise, air traffic and low-flying helicopters may occur.
