Houston voters should check precinct before heading to polls

wcrenshaw@macon.comJuly 14, 2014

Friday is the last day of early voting in Houston County for the July 22 primary runoff election.

Voters who don’t vote early should be sure they know the correct polling place, according to a Board of Elections release.

The county has made changes to several polling locations, so voters should double check where they should go.

Voters can do that my going to the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page link at www.mvp.sos.state.ga.us. They can also download the GA Votes app for their mobile device or call the Board of Elections office at (478) 987-1973. A list of the county’s polling places can be found at www.houstoncountyga.org. Click on the Residents tab, Board of Elections and then Polling Locations on the right side of the page.

Those impacted by the polling location changes should have gotten a notification in the mail. Anyone who has moved and didn’t update their address with the Board of Elections should especially be sure to check before going to vote.
