BLENDED JUICES WITH POM POWER

Fans of crimson pomegranate juice may enjoy the latest from the folks at POM Wonderful, who have mixed up several juices for three new blends: Hula (pineapple, apple), Mango (mango, pear) and Coconut (coconut, pineapple). Pomegranate flavor dominates, but there are definite hints of each signature. Our favorites: Mango and Coconut. Calories in a 12-ounce bottle range from 140 for Coconut to 210 for Hula and Mango. Suggested retail price: $2.99 for a 12-ounce bottle. At supermarkets nationwide. Store locator: pomwonderful.com.

FIG COOKIES DONE GLUTEN-FREE

Those who steer clear of gluten and miss fig-filled cookies should be happy with the latest from Pamela's, the gluten-free baker that's created Figgies & Jammies. The tender fig-filled cookie comes in four flavors: Mission Fig as well as fig with strawberry or blueberry or raspberry. We enjoyed the classic Mission Fig as well as the tart touch imparted by the fig-raspberry pairing. Each cookie (roughly 1 1/2-by-2 1/4 inches) weighs in at about 100 calories. Suggested retail price: $4.99 for a 9-ounce package. At supermarkets nationwide. Store locator: pamelasproducts.com.

ESSENTIAL SPICINGS FOR INDIAN FARE

Grocers offer dozens of spice mixes. What sets new Indian Essentials from Simply Asia apart? The short list of ingredients that deliver maximum flavor (minus MSG) in five mixes: Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry and Saag Aloo. Recipes on the back require a few basics (chicken, onions, potatoes, oil) plus some specific ingredients (tomato sauce, cream, etc.). We found prep for the Butter Chicken and Saag Aloo simple and the resulting dishes nicely spiced with a subtle pepper kick. Suggested retail price: $1.49 per packet. At supermarkets nationwide. Store locator: simplyasia.com.
