Part of the Interstate 75/Interstate 16 interchange will close again Tuesday night for repairs.

The roadwork will divert traffic onto Macon’s surface streets when the ramp from Interstate 75 southbound to Interstate 16 is closed, starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday and ending at 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Other ramps, including those from I-16 to I-75, and from I-75 northbound to I-16, will be not be affected.

Crews are continuing repairs to the railing and to bridge joints and headers. Similar work was done this past Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Diverted traffic trying to get onto I-16 should take Exit 164’s Hardeman Avenue to get to Georgia Avenue and Spring Street, the Georgia Department of Transportation said in a statement.
