Mercer to play in Great Alaska Shootout

Mercer Coach Bob Hoffman supports his team from the sidelines. Duke University Blue Devils played the Mercer Bears in the Second Round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in Raleigh, N.C. on Friday, March 21, 2014.


The Mercer men's basketball team will take part in the eight-team Great Alaska Shootout, which will be played Nov. 26-29.

The Bears are scheduled to open against Rice at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 26.

The other teams involved are Alaska-Anchorage, Pacific, Missouri State, Colorado State, Washington State and UC Santa Barbara. The Bears are guaranteed three games at the event.
